Module III: Sustainable Urban Logistics (en)

Although city logistics makes up a relatively small portion of urban traffic
it makes a major contribution to the success of cities. Future
livability of cities will highly depend on the optimization of the
exchange of goods and information. Therefore improving the efficiency of
the 'first and last mile' of deliveries is already widely accepted and
also mentioned in the 2011 “Transport White Paper” of the European Union. The spring week is to understand urban logistical systems and how
transport avoidance plus shift to sustainable modes can shape the future
of urban agglomerations and how your job in this sector could look
like.
